In an effort to expand its reach and provide much-needed services to the community, we've just launched a state-of-the-art mobile clinic, the Healthy Love Bus (TM). This new addition to our Health Education and Prevention services will allow us to bring free HIV and STI testing to the greater Atlanta area, as well as other parts of the country. This is a huge win for those in the Greater Atlanta area who have difficulty getting access to healthcare due to disabilities or lack of transportation.

SisterLove, Inc is a non-profit reproductive justice and sexual health organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. We have been working tirelessly since 1989 to provide education, support, and advocacy for women and girls living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS. In addition to our work in the Atlanta area, we also offer national training and technical assistance on a variety of topics related to sexual health and reproductive justice. We also operate internationally out of our office in South Africa. Our programmatic efforts have been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Ebony magazine.

Founded by Dázon Dixon Diallo, SisterLove has been at the forefront of the fight against HIV and sexual health disparities in women and girls for over 33 years. For those in the Atlanta area, SisterLove represents a vital resource in the fight for sexual and reproductive justice. SisterLove is a powerful voice in the movement for sexual and reproductive justice, and is an important presence in the fight to ensure that all people have the right to control their own bodies. With the current attacks on reproductive rights, our work is more critical than ever in ensuring that all people have access to quality, affordable reproductive health care.

SisterLove is a national, Black-led organization that works to end reproductive oppression and promote sexual and reproductive justice. We work at the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and health, and are committed to working with and for marginalized communities. See where we've been.

Some of our key programs include working to expand access to quality, affordable reproductive health care services; providing testing and linkage to care for HIV and other STIs; advocating for reproductive justice at the local and national levels; and leading community-centered public health research. In addition, we also provide education and resources on topics related to sexual and reproductive health. Our work is essential in ensuring that all people have the right to control their own bodies. Our commitment to working with overlooked and underserved communities ensures that everyone has a voice in the fight for sexual and reproductive justice.

The underfunding of sexual and reproductive health care is a global problem and one that hits low-income communities the hardest. In the United States alone, more than half of all counties do not have access to HIV testing and counseling services. SisterLove is working to change that by providing education and resources to those who need it most. Our work is important not just for the people we serve, but for the future of sexual and reproductive rights. By ensuring that everyone has access to quality care and information, we are helping to create a world where everyone can make informed decisions about their bodies and their health.

SisterLove recognizes that sexual and reproductive health care is a human right, not a privilege. We are committed to ensuring that all people have access to the care they need, when they need it. The mobile clinic will offer a variety of services, including:

  • Free HIV Testing Atlanta, GA - the mobile clinic will offer free, confidential HIV screenings for those who may not have access to regular health care. The importance of early detection and treatment cannot be understated, and the mobile clinic will help to ensure that everyone has access to these vital services.
  • Free STI screenings - in addition to HIV screenings, the mobile clinic will also offer free STI screenings. STIs are a major public health concern, and the mobile clinic will help to ensure that everyone has access to these vital services.
  • Information and education - the mobile clinic will provide information about HIV prevention and treatment, as well as other sexual health topics. The mobile clinic will also provide education about HIV and other STIs, in order to help people make informed decisions about their sexual health.
  • Referral services - the mobile clinic will provide referrals to other health care and social service providers. This will ensure that people who need more comprehensive care can get the services they need.
  • The Healthy Love Workshop - the mobile clinic will offer the Healthy Love Workshop, a program that takes an intersectional approach to creating and providing critical knowledge on safe sex practices.

The importance of this mobile clinic cannot be overstated. Atlanta's minority communities have long been underserved when it comes to sexual and reproductive healthcare. This is an issue that stems from a variety of factors, including racism, sexism, the stigma of institutionalized poverty, and lack of access to quality care. The mobile clinic will help to address these issues by providing free, quality care to those who need it the most. This will be an invaluable resource for immigrants, LGBTQIA+ persons, and low-income folks who may not have access to regular sexual and reproductive healthcare.

The Healthy Love Bus (TM) is not only an investment in the health of our Atlanta community but also in the future of our city. This mobile clinic will be a vital resource for years to come. There are many ways you can make an impact by supporting our mission. You can donate directly to those we serve, join our mailing list, and follow us on social media. You can also learn more about our work and get involved by attending one of our events or workshops. By supporting SisterLove, you are helping to ensure that all women and gender-expansive persons have access to quality sexual and reproductive healthcare. You are also helping to ensure that everyone has the right to control their own bodies. Thank you for standing with SisterLove. Together we can make a difference.
