With a background in policy, research, and program development, Amanda works to drive impactful projects that address the social and environmental factors influencing reproductive health.
Amanda Van Buren is a passionate advocate for Black liberation, bringing years of organizing experience to her work at SisterLove. With a bachelor's degree in political science from The University of Oklahoma and a master's degree in Africana Women’s Studies from Clark Atlanta University, Amanda is deeply committed to equity, empowerment, and justice.
Beyond her work, Amanda is a lover of history and science fiction, always drawn to stories that reimagine the future and shed light on the past. When she’s not coordinating projects that create pathways to justice and opportunity, you can probably find her enjoying sushi, oysters, or a great book. At SisterLove, she combines her passion for social justice with practical action, aligning her values and skills with her professional aspirations.
