Ashley Wilson, MPH, CHES, CHW

Community Health Worker

In the role of Community Health Worker, Ashley will provide HIV testing, counseling, linkage to care, biomedical prevention tools, and health education.

She will ensure that quality standards for testing and counseling are maintained through completion of required documentation while complying with CLIA and laboratory protocols.

Ashley will perform HIV Antibody Tests, complete appropriate forms, follow up with clients regarding test results, develop sexual health and wellness plans, provide referrals for treatment, and schedule follow-up appointments both  at the MotherHouse and on the Healthy Love Bus.  

Ashley is a Certified Health Education Specialist in HIV/STI and is experienced in case management, and community collaboration and outreach. Ashley hails from South Carolina where she was a Community Health Worker for HopeHealth in Florence.  

As a PrEP Prevention Specialist, she oversaw all daily activities of community health workers, educated providers and communities about PrEP, followed up with patients prescribed PrEP, conducted rapid HIV testing, and advocated for patient care.

Additionally, she helped create materials to educate the community at large about PrEP. Ashley also served as a Ryan White Patient Care Advocate while with HopeHealth.
