Dr. Kia James

Dr. Kia James is the Administration and Operations Director at SisterLove. She is a human resources and operations professional with a strong background in organizational administration and compliance. She specializes in staff development, policy implementation, and workplace culture enhancement, ensuring safe, inclusive and productive environments that foster professional growth, open communication, and operational efficiency. With a strong foundation in regulatory compliance, employee relations, and leadership development, Dr. James supports organizations in navigating complex challenges while prioritizing staff well-being and organizational success by creating positive, inclusive environments where staff feel valued, heard, and empowered.

She earned a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Curriculum & Instruction from Mercer University, a Specialist (Ed.S.) in Leadership, a Master (M.S.) in Science, and a Bachelor (B.S.) in Biology, with international research experience in China, Finland, and South America, enriching her global perspective on workplace equity, policy administration and leadership. A passionate advocate for women’s rights, Dr. James is committed to empowering women— particularly young Black women—to thrive in leadership, career growth, and financial independence. She champions work-life harmony, self-care thought physical and mental wellness, guiding individuals in life mapping and strategic planning to create fulfilling, purpose driven lives.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, football, reading, and exploring new ideas, continuously seeking knowledge and experiences that inspire transformation.
