Krystal Stewart

Program Director

Krystal Stewart is the Program Director as SisterLove. Krystal is global health practitioner that has a passion for empowering people and communities. She has a master’s in public health and bachelor’s in Anthropology from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!). She has interests in international development and maternal child health with a focus on birthwork, reproductive health, family planning, capacity building, and leadership development. She is an advocate for closing the reproductive cycle through birthwork and parenting education as a full-spectrum life coach, twice trained full-spectrum doula through the reproductive health justice framework by Ancient Song and wholistic practices by DONA, a certified lactation counselor, and parenting skills educator (Parenting Journey, EPIC, etc.). She enjoys working in global communities both domestically and internationally, meeting with all stakeholders on the ground to strengthen their health systems and communities, and most of all, being a mother.

She believes working with families is a constant reminder that we are shaped and molded by our environments, family, friends, and other social interactions (or lack of thereof). Our ever-evolving community consistently challenges her perspective on – her – definition of community and how she chooses to be part of it. The African proverb Ubuntu--“I am what I am because of who we all are”-- has defined her passions into a singular mission to set out on a B.O.L.D. journey to guide others to build, to sustain, and to retain yourself (personhood), your wealth, and your wellness through individual and/or group interventions. It is a privilege to be part of so many journeys and she looks forward to continuing to accompany others on their adventure to Build, Obtain, Lead, and Develop sexual and reproductive health freedom!
